The Mohawk Valley Community College Hall of Fame recognizes people who have embraced our community, modeled the way, inspired confidence, and encouraged excellence at MVCC. Nominees to the MVCC Hall of Fame will be selected based upon the following criteria:
The MVCC Hall of Fame recognizes individuals whose contributions have had a significant and lasting impact on the development, progress and success of MVCC.
Selection is based on achievement in one or more of the following areas:
Business / professional achievements - nominee has demonstrated significant achievement in their chosen field;
Professional awards and honors, professional affiliations, publications;
Civic or community involvement - nominee has contributed leadership service to the local community;
Personal achievement / accomplishments;
Past or present service to MVCC - nominee has exhibited leadership support and involvement, which has added value to the College and/or the MVCC Foundation;
Athletics - nominee has significantly contributed to the growth, development and success of MVCC Athletics;
Other appropriate qualifications which the MVCC Hall of Fame committee believes merit consideration.
Current members of the MVCC Board of Trustees, MVCC Alumni Association Board members, MVCC Foundation Board members, past recipients, students, and current full-time College employees are ineligible. Nominations may be made posthumously.
Nominations must be received by July 31st of the calendar year for which they are to be considered. All nominations will be kept on file for consideration for three (3) years. If they are not selected within the three year period, you are welcome to resubmit your nomination.
